Jada Libby

Jada is in her second year of her Master's of Social Work program at Bridgewater State University. Jada graduated in 2023 from Bridgewater State University earning a BA in Dance and a BSW (Social Work). Jada has studied at Drouin Dance Center; Dancemakers, INC; and the Dance Studio of Maine. Where she competed competitively in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, ballet and pointe. Jada assisted in choreographing for many children’s classes and especially developed a passion for teaching children from ages 2-4 years old. She was on the BSU Dance Team all four years of school and one of the team captains for 2 years. During her time on the team they competed 3 times nationally where they won a national title in division III jazz in 2021. As a dance major in her undergraduate research she focused on creative dance for boys’ and girls’ clubs; the social-emotional impacts of jazz dance for pre-school children with ADHD; and cognitive, motor, social emotional development for preschool children. She presented her research in multiple BSU conferences and will be presenting at the National Dance Education Organization Conference 2023 this fall.
