Marian Fletcher
Company Director, Choreographer/Instructor
Marian started dancing when she was four years old and has loved it ever since her very first day. Tap has always been her passion and main focus, the rhythmic style of it has fascinated her. She began assistant teaching at the age of thirteen and that is where her love of teaching dance began. She teaches ages anywhere from 2 to Adult, but especially loves teaching the recreational and younger dancers. In May 2020, Marian graduated Summa Cum Laude with National Honors in dance from Bridgewater State University with a BA in Dance Education. While at Bridgewater State University, Marian served as Vice President of the National Dance Education Organization and was a member of the BSU Dance Company. Her modern and tap choreography were both selected for shows while studying at Bridgewater State University. She also choreographed a tap piece for BSU's winter show as an alumni in 2021. Marian was a competitive dancer in high school and has won many awards for her choreography at both the regional and national level. Now going into her second year as KC Dance Company Director, Marian continues to spread her passion for teaching dance and loves to see her students grow in their love and appreciation in all styles. She wants to remind all dancers to have fun and Just Dance It!
